DJ Essence

djessence.net

After growing up listening to the sounds of DJ Magic Mike, it is no surprise that DJ Essence is known for kicking the bass in his sets. Since 15, he has been DJing at rinks throughout the Orlando area and still maintains his residency at Semoran Skateway along with DJ EverSteve. Essence has also taken his choice of breaks to the airwaves on the former 95.3 Party and to the club scene at Orlando's Firestone, Cairo, and Storm Club.

DJ G-Force

A vinyl junky from back in the day, G-Force is the veteran scratch DJ of the SkateFM crew. He grew up in Miami during the early 80's, rutinely tuning into the Miami Bass and Freestyle jams of Rhythm98, Power96, and HotWheels. Although his old school sounds also crossed the turntables at Semoran Skateway of Orlando, G-Force is probably best known as the producer of the JamSkate Mixed CD series that now spans 15 volumes.

DJ Hypnotic

DJ Hypnotic is the resident DJ of Saturday nights at United Skates of America, Tampa, Florida. Since his start in December 2004, he is best known for kicking the freestyle, break beats, hip hop, and miami bass. He has DJ-ed at Skate World, Skate Factory and many other skating rinks in Florida. Hypnotic has been inspired by everything from the breaks of DJ Santana to the bass of DJ Magic Mike.

DJ JRaver

JRaver used to spin at the old Starlight rink in Ormond, Florida under the tutelage of DJ EverSteve. A frequent visitor to Orlando's Semoran Skateway, his DJing style was also heavily influenced by fellow residents G-Force and Essence. Expect to find a heavy mix of Bass, Freestyle and Breaks throughout JRaver's sets.

DJ Scotymax

Scotymax hails from the original Skate Station of Gainesville, Florida where he DJ-ed for six years. In 2000 he got his first set of turntables and has since spun at rinks and parties throughout central Florida. He is the man behind the scenes, responsible for nearly everything heard on SkateFM and seen on it's website.
